On 2 August 2013 construction of Klaipeda County Police Headquarters was started in one of the most beautiful cities in Lithuania – Klaipėda. The design comprises two buildings linked in terms of function and grouped. After the project is implemented, there will be police headquarters, and a detention facility in Klaipėda. In addition to that, the scope of the project includes installation of utility networks, landscaping, places for car parking, fencing and lighting of the entire complex. Klaipėda County Police Headquarters will be adapted for the disabled. The new building will accommodate all police subdivisions scattered in various locations in Klaipėda with the exception of district police stations. It is planned that the area of the 5-storey building will be close to 14 thousand square meters, the area of the 3-storey detention facility is as much as 2.2 thousand square meters.
